        Dear friends,
        Please advise on what I need to do to secure my residence rights in Austria. I’ve applied to change my drivers license but I don’t know about the rest. Many thanks!

          Currently you have not been here long enough to qualify for a Bestätigung des Daueraufenthalts – the current permanent residency title for EU citizens. From 1 January 2021 there will be a special card for all British citizens in Austria – the “Aufenthaltstitel Art 50 EUV” – check out our FAQs at https://www.britishinaustria.net/aufenthaltstitel-art-50-euv-faqs/.

          You’ve probably seen from the site that we talk about “getting your ducks in order” the only step you need to take before year end, if you have not already done so, is to get your Anmeldebescheinigung.
