I think also we have come close to exhausting the amount of pressure we are able to put on the Ministry in cases of there just being a delay in processing rather than there being a procedural fault (e.g. we spotted cards sent in April with a January issue date, that were stuck in a sub-office). We will raise the matter again through the Embassy to try to get them to put some pressure on ensuring that the BMI is made aware of there still being cases open since January.
