Hi, I hope that I am in the right thread here as the questions relate to the Austrian state pension rather than drawing a private UK pension. I am an Austrian citizen who has lived abroad for half of my life and has lived in the UK since 2012. During that time I accumulated a pension portfolio inside a SIPP. I am planning to move to Austria next year, but the tax authorities there seem to be quite aggressive and want to tax any income received from all over the world. This could for example mean that I would lose benefits such as the 25% tax-free lump sum when starting to crystalize the pension and all savings in an investment ISA seem to be taxed as well (although they are fully exempt from capital gains tax in the UK!). These rules have gotten worse after Brexit, as the double taxation treaty has become less favourable. Is there anyone on this forum who has experience in drawing income from a SIPP/workplace pension or an ISA? Many thanks, Menzi.
