Rather than start a new thread, I believe this matches my situation.
I’m a UK Citizen with a Article 50 permit and have lived and worked in Vienna for a around 5 years as a salaried employee, so paying social security payments.If I move back to the UK, Im 40years old, would I be entitled to any pension payments from Austria when I get to retirement age?
That email sounds like we’d need to contact the Austrian state pension provider ourselves to make a claim. Worryingly it sounds like I’d receive nothing as I have not worked for 15 years in Austria.Is this correct?

I have the 10 year Article 50 card and was wondering what you must do to maintain residency.My situation is that I may need to return to the UK for potentially a number of years.
Before the 5 year absence time period must I on re-entering Austria register an address (meldezettel)? Or is it simply enough to enter the country to reset the 5 year absence period?
I not been able to find the criteria on any of the websites.Thanks very much in advance.
